Marina Mkhitaryan is the Lab Lead at Kolba, the first Social Innovations Lab of UNDP. Her work helps to build bridges between analogue and ICT, citizens and officials, challenges and solutions. In the Innovations Lab, Marina helps UNDP Armenia to crowdsource solutions of the most wicked socio-political issues to the citizenry and to convert their ideas into viable social startups. Marina has brought many “firsts” into the work of the development agency, from first crowdsourced government strategy to the first innovation challenges among the public servants to the first open data hackathons inside the government. Marina is a development professional with more than 15 years’ experience managing development programs, media outlets and NGOs.
